Intentional Use of Language for Family Success
Our session discusses making intentional word choices to increase Kindergarten readiness skills for families. Head Start comes with jargon that doesn't match local schools. For example, we can shift our messaging from 'arriving late' to focus on timely arrival as a kindergarten readiness skill. We will discuss how to align our practices, timelines, and word choices with local school districts to increase success and decrease confusion for parents when transitioning into K-12.
