It is Okay to Feel How You Feel
Author
Rebekah J. Stephens is the Author of It is Okay to Feel How You Feel, a book designed to help start conversations about feelings and emotions for children and adults alike. She is a friend, sister, daughter and advocate who works to be part of the change initiatives and interventions for our underrepresented black and brown children.
As a child Rebekah was not able to openly express how she felt and feels that it is important that children understand that experiencing different emotions, whether positive or negative, is not bad. This understanding helps them observe a wide range of emotions and learn that it is okay to feel different emotions and become empathetic individuals.
Rebekah is a 2007 graduate of Marquette University’s Diederich College of Communication with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Communication Studies and minor in Family Studies. Until recently, Rebekah has worked for non-profit organizations in the Madison area as a Business Development Manager and Skills instructor. She is the 2021 recipient of The Strategist Amy Award presented by Madison Magazine and the Gannon Family.
