While Susy has been in the ECE field for over 30 years, she is relatively new to Wisconsin and the WECA staff having come aboard in early 2022 as the Higher Education Specialist for the T.E.A.C.H. scholarship program.  Before joining WECA,  Susy taught as lead or assistant teacher in all age groups in a variety of settings, she also has experience as a technical assistance coach in Kansas and a community college instructor in Nebraska.  Susy has bachelor’s and master's degrees in Early Childhood Education, as well as a doctorate degree in Life Span Human Development.  Her interests outside of work include crocheting, walking/hiking with family, and reading/learning about history.
